Spaces on this programme are limited, successful applicants will be expected to attend a minimum of 75% of programme activity. We are looking for competent applications from musicians who can illustrate a track record of their work and a passion for what they do. Musicians working on this programme will be expected to work effectively in a group setting, and have a sense of direction for their personal/professional development.
The Yellow Rattle Band welcomes musicians and singers from all musical backgrounds, and we encourage applications from the diverse cultures and communities in the NE of England. M@Hot’s open door policy works to support access to our programmes, working with participants to identify and tackle barriers to participation.
Join us for a 1-day workshop with Tom Kimber and the M@HoT team.
Find out more about the project, connect with other musicians and singers from
across the region and learn more about the work that M@HoT delivers across the NE.
The workshop will centre around learning and arranging a folk tune together,
with other solo & collaborative tasks throughout the day.
For anyone wanting to apply for The Yellow Rattle Band, please prepare a 3-5min performance.
There will be a solo audition and informal chat with the tutor team towards the end of the day.
